Skipton buys Thomson Shepherd
The UK's sixth largest building society has acquired Scottish based IFA Thomson Shepherd Ltd, to further build its distribution arm.
Skipton Building Society has announced it had acquired a 75 per cent shareholding in Thomson Shepherd, just weeks after a similar acquisition of Torquil Clark, and in line with the business' strategy of strengthening its financial offering. Thomson Shepherd, which trades as Coggans Wood in Edinburgh, will continue to be run as an independant company.
